Varsha Tagare is a Senior Director at Qualcomm Ventures and an advocate for diversity in the technology sector. Her current investment areas include Enterprise and Mobility. In the past, she managed a $150M fund dedicated to India and cross border Digital Enterprise investments with successful technology IPOs such as MapMyIndia (2021) and ideaForge (2023). Her US portfolio includes Ethernovia, HDVI, Lookout, Mindtickle, Sibros and Zuddl. Her international portfolio includes Capillary Technologies, Enstage (M&A by Nasper), ideaForge (IPO), Jio, MapMyIndia (IPO), MCX (IPO), Ridlr (M&A by Ola), Reverie Language Tech (M&A by Reliance), ShadowFax JAMDAT (IPO), Mobile365 (M&A by Sybase), Zinier and Yourstory. The India Fund has also invested in companies such as Bounce, boAt and Stellapps.

Varsha was recognized as a Rising Star by Global Corporate Venture Organization in 2019.

Varsha is also a board member of Qualcomm’s Women Organization which fosters women’s career development at Qualcomm.

Prior to joining Qualcomm Ventures, Varsha was an investment director at Intel Capital, responsible for global equity investments in Mobile Technology.

Varsha has deep engineering and operating experience in Chip Design on Pentium II, Technical Marketing and Business Development Groups at Intel.

Varsha has an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and B.E. in Electrical Engineering from VJTI from the University of Bombay. She holds two US patents in Microprocessor Design.

Outside the Office

Outside of the office, Varsha continues her training in the Indian Classical Dance form of Kathak.
