Hanyang is a Director at Qualcomm Ventures in Beijing and has been with Qualcomm for 19 years. Prior to his current role, he has held positions in product/technology management and marketing/engineer at QCT and QTL. His rich experience covers modem, AP, sensor, AI, infra and IoT. Hanyang has helped develop ecosystems and built strong partnerships in China, as well as driven the commercialization of key technologies, standards, features and products during the 2-3-4-5G transition.

Hanyang holds a Masters in Electronic and Communication Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology and an international MBA from Beijing University & Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School.

Outside the Office

Outside of the office, Hanyang enjoys hiking and swimming. On the weekends, he also loves to work on all types of smart home and DIY projects.

EnlightXR aims to build a China XR ecosystem and industry alliance based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR platform and Snapdragon Spaces software framework. This includes providing local technical support and services to core industry partners and developers, accelerating the implementation of innovative applications, operating and managing content distribution platforms, and promoting the development of China’s XR industry standards so as to contribute to the prosperity and development of China’s XR ecosystem.

One of the main bottlenecks in the development of the XR industry is that the ecosystem is not yet mature. In order to facilitate developers’ innovative development of XR content and applications, Qualcomm has launched the Snapdragon Spaces SDK. EnlightXR expands its related capabilities, algorithms, and tools, thereby building an official community for content developers to help and serve XR developers to better learn, use, communicate, and commercialize their creations. Ultimately, users of XR products can experience the extraordinary charm of dimensions leaping from mobile internet to spatial internet.

EnlightXR’s name in Chinese is 神木科技 which is derived from the sacred tree in the ancient Chinese literature masterpiece “The Classic of Mountains and Seas”, which means connecting the virtual and physical worlds and building ecological prosperity.
